FOR THE WEB (ANIMATED GIF AND DIVISION/CUT) (hide)
A) Simple introduction
Here you can find the creation of an animated gif starting from a video (be sure to set the Number of colors (Reduction)), and Chunking/cutting image: you need this to cut in several equal parts one or several images having a high resolution. The cut will be possible by the settings of Number of parts (horizontal line) and of Number of parts (vertical line).
B) Animated Gif
Here you can create an animated gif from several images, if you wish to know more follow the link.
b1) Loading images
In the Image(s) sources tab load your images with the button Add.

A dialogue box appears, find the directory in which you have the images (on the left side), your images are shown as thumbnails (bt default) on the right side. To select several images, click on the first thumbnail, then by keeping the SHIFT key pushed, click on the last thumbnail, the click on Add.

Here are the images (represented by the thumbnails) once in the main window:

b2) Settings of the animated Gif
In the Settings tab select the type Animated gif in the drop-down list.

Set the Number of colors (Reduction) and the Time between two frames (ms).
A detail: the more the Number of colors (Reduction) is low, the more the animated gif will be light (and it will be displayed in a better way on a web page) … but on the opposite side it will be of lower quality. You’ll need to find the right balance between quality/size. Concerning the Time between two frames (ms), this is the time (in milliseconds) between two images in the animated gif; this is the time running of the images (tha value 10 by default let you have a fast running time which is all right for the most of the situations, while a value of 200, for instance, will show us a time running in a real slow motion).

Click on Change the width of the image gif if you want to set on New width (px) and be able to set the size you want.

b3) See the result
You can see the result in a new window (and before the final treatment ) by the button See the result.

Here’s the result in the preview window (you can see the animated gif) …

b4) Informations about the selected image
To have some informations about the animated gif, click on Infos, then click, one by one, on the button Back in this window, then on the one of the preview to go back to the main window…

b5) Final treatment of the animated gif

The saving window gets opene (Save) , here, on the left side, select the final directory (if you need opne the sub-directories), type the title in the text field Files name: and click on the button Save.

While the treatment is going on, the progress bar is on too.

The final animated gif apperars in the Image(s) after treatment (the animated gif is in action, and this is not visible, of course, in this image).
