HOW TO ADD SOME ELEMENTS (WORDS/IMAGES) (hide)

A) Simple introduction

You need this plug-in to add some text (but also some images) on a set of images.

We can think that you want to put a credit at the beginning (and/or at the end) to a set of images (which is going to make a video at the end), this plug-in will be very useful to you (this can be done easily). We can also think that you want to put a signature to a set of images, you will be able to do it too by using this plug-in.

Here’s the interface dedicated to this fonction:

Let’s go now to have a look at the window tab Setting, you should see that all the buttons are grey colored (except for the list of selection of the images extensions in the down side):

All of these buttons will be on as soon as an image, at least, will be downloaded.

B) Downloading images

Click on the button Add.

In the search window for images, select the directory on the lef side (if you need look for the sub-directories), and look for the images/pictures. If you want to select more than one video in one at once, keep the CTRL button (or SHIFT) on the keyboard pushed (while selecting the pictures), than click on Add.

Select an image from the list in order to start working.

C) Settings of texts ans other images

Go to the window tab Setting. The first image is shown in the interface/work space. If this image seem too big for you, you can zoom out (you’ll get then things smaller) with the mouse scroll wheel or by clicking, several times, on the button Zoom out.

Once the image is set up, click on Add Text, a new dialogue box opens … here you can write your text (please take care in selecting the font, the size and his color). You can Copy, Cut, Past or Erase… the text at any time (as when you use a text editor). Click on the button OK.

Here’s what’s written in the image below (for users reading this documentation which do not read french):

1) By this button you can add some text (by using this dialogue box) ; talking about that, do not forget to select the size, the color and the font itself. Add box let you surround (for instance) some text with a box. Add image, as it’s written, let you add some images.

2) These are the buttons (starting from the lef to the right) you can use to « Copy », « Cut », « Past », or « Erase » some texte or images (you use copy, cut and past as you use to do in a texteditor).

3) Buttons allowing you to put your selection from foreground to background (whether it deals about text or image).

4) Buttons allowing you to turn your selection (text or image) tot he right or to the left (depending on the button you choose).

Tetx has been slightly turned to the right.

We’re now going to add an image in the workplace, click on the button Add Image, in the dialogue box, select the image you want and click on the button Open.

If the text (highlighted by a dot frame) is put in the wrong way in the image, select and move the text helping you with the mouse and place it the right way. You can do the same thing with the image you just dowload.

D) Saving your work

Now that everything is in place, click on the button Apply.

The saving window (Save) gets open, and in this window, on the left side, select the destination directory (if you need it, show the sub-directories), put the title in the text field File name: and click on the button Save.

E) Final treatment

The progress bar gets in place.

Once the progress bar goes to 100%, click on the tab Display created images to see the result (select the image you wish to see).

F) Information about the paths

At the end, the tab Infos allows you to see the last video/s downloaded (with the right paths) before and after the treatment.

G) Exemples of images

Here’s for exemple two images after we’ve been through the operations mentioned above.
